Troubles do come to everyone, even Christians. Faith does not exclude believers from afflictions and tribulations. In fact, James said to rejoice when such things do happen. The reason for joy is because God makes all things work together for the good of those who love Him. The Lord speaks in the midst of troubles; indeed, troubles are often the way He gets the attention of believers.
Those who overcome, who keep their faith in the through the troubles are elevated in spiritual ranking. There’s a white stone to receive from the Lord, with a special name written on it, which signifies the new rank in the spirit.
