Everybody must make sacrifices. God uses “the select ones” who carry the cross and count the cost (Luke chapter 14 (from verse 25); Luke chapter 9 (from verse 57)). With “the harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few” (Luke chapter 10:1–2), he equips believers to endure hardship for the gospel.
