The principle of persistent prayer
Sometimes there is a delay in prayer. We are heard on day 1, but why did the Lord wait 21 days before sending Michael to help the angel against the prince of Persia on his way to seeing Daniel?
The answer is that there are things that were being said during the 21 days which were necessary to activate the release of Michael. I suppose that Daniel was praying certain prayers and the Holy Spirit was leading him to say certain kinds of words of repentance on behalf of Israel.
We don’t stay long in the place of pray to get the Lord to change His mind. If you are going to stay long in the place of pray, it will because we are changing and not be we are getting the Lord to change His mind. |
